International Mining Games 20-23rd March 2018 University of Reno, Nevada, USA

Welcome to the Camborne School of Mines International Mining Games (CSMIMG)

The annual International Mining Games is hosted at a different Mining School somewhere across the globe in honor and remembrance of the fallen miners from the Sunshine Mine fire in 1972. The competition ensures those miners will not be forgotten.
The 41st competition took place at Virginia City situated on the Comstock Lode, the epicenter of the mountain that made millionaires during the silver mining boom of the late 1800s. Competitors from around the world will experience the frontier flavor unique to Mackay, and Virginia City.

With seven gruelling events in all, it will be a unique opportunity to witness traditional mining skills first-hand, up close and personal. We are expecting a very close competition as International Mining Schools send their elite teams to represent. This website will keep you up to date with the latest news and information regarding the Camborne School of Mines team, the UK's only mining school, being represented by three teams.
Updates and photos from training sessions leading up to the competition will be posted on the facebook and Twitter accounts. Check out our sponsorship page to see the companies that support the teams, as without them, we could not compete in these games!

The 2020 International Mining Games will be hosted by Colorado School of Mines and 2021 by Western Australia School of Mines. Full details will follow once released.
